Position Overview
The candidate will support the IA Team with its high-net-worth clients in the analysis of portfolios and investments in the context of the individual’s or the family’s overall financial situation. The training program will first include a period of learning of basic investment compliance, Wealth Management systems, admin tasks, and the functioning of the overall Canadian financial system for individuals.

This role offers the candidate a rewarding, long-term career path, fostering the development of advanced, integrated wealth management expertise. Opportunities for career advancement may include obtaining industry-recognized licenses, such as CIRO licensing as an Investment Advisor or Portfolio Manager, and IPF licensing as a Financial Planner, among others.

Responsibilities
•    Ability to apply principles of asset allocation to client portfolios
•    Research of dividend growing stocks, blue-chip stocks Canadian and US
•    Understanding and thorough research of the 24,000 ETFs, alternative strategies funds and Canadian mutual funds
•    Responsible for producing reports and monitoring client positions to ensure they are in line with model portfolios and proposals, reviewing and producing investment policy statements
•    Trade execution, monitoring, reconciliation, auditing, suitability
•    Review and optimize investment processes
•    Meet with wholesalers and attend investment presentations
•    Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications
•    Fluent in French and English, written and spoken
•    Have worked at least 1 year in the financial services industry; being familiar with registered plans of all types
•    Must be proficient in MS Office Suite
•    Knowledge of financial and tax planning would be an asset

Education
•    Registered for CFA Level III or registered for the IPF-AMF-QC Financial Planning exam is required
•    Possession of a CFA Charter, CIRO Portfolio Manager License, and IPF-AMF Financial Planner license is preferred
•    Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook is ideal
