Position Summary

Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Receiver is responsible for receiving all incoming materials. The Stores Receiver is responsible for receiving and distributing incoming materials after reviewing accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Receiving materials on a daily basis as described in the procedures manual
  • Perform receiving inspections
  • Communicate with vendors on discrepancies, properly mark and record rejected materials
  • Print labels, count, ad package and distribute items accordingly
  • Clean work area, reuse materials or break down boxes, preferably on a daily basis
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors via phone, email and/or fax as necessary
  • Use of WinAir Parts Program for receiving, issuing and searching for requested supplies
  • Conduct inventory counts, checks and adjustments
  • Complete data entry in WinAir for work orders and batch adjustments as directed by Stores Manager
  • Expected to receive all shipments on a daily basis
  • Bring items shipped down from YTH to Stores on a daily basis, unpack and put red tagged items on the quarantine shelf
  • Put rotatable parts away once tags are signed
  • Assist with the parts counter regarding receiving and allocating inhouse work orders
  • Assist the shipper in maintaining a clean area for the boxes, i.e. breaking down and bringing excess/unusable boxes to the recycling bin
  • Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Previous experience with an Aviation Management Software System considered an asset (WinAir preferred)
  • Knowledge of aircraft/aviation parts considered an asset
  • Previous customer service experience considered an asset
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness training considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
  • Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
  • Use of safety equipment as required and applicable to role
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
