Buckland is looking for an Operations Team Leader

This position is responsible to support customer service and delivery activities by coordinating and directing teams tasked with shipping, receiving, and storage of goods. They focus on order fulfilment and supply chain coordination, as well as personnel management.

You will be responsible for

  • To provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate all shipments for customs clearance on timely fashion and ensure process flow based on best practices per shipment type: Air, Land and Ocean.
  • Completion of mid to high volume shipment clearance for Air, Land and Ocean on different customs ports of entry/outcome.
  • Preparation of Customs entries and documentation as needed.
  • Tariff research and classification of goods to comply with Canadian, Mexican and US customs regulations (as applicable).
  • Completion and monitoring of E29B’s and complex entries. (CND Only)
  • Review, verify and document entry errors by updating applicable system.
  • Handling requests from internal and external clients in a prioritized, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Update client’s product databases as needed.
  • Act as liaison between CBP, CSCB or Mexican Customs and operations to ensure compliance with each country applicable regulations.

 

 

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage a group of 5 to 10 employees
  • Assist with performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Assign tasks to team members
  • Assists with training and guidance of direct reports
  • Monitor work volumes of direct reports to ensure entries are completed to customs regulations guidelines
  • Supervise team members, conduct team meetings, monitor attendance, and work schedules

 

What we need from you

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in custom brokerage or logistics experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
  • High level of organization, time management and attention to detail.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Completion of complex entries.
  • Preferable AES Knowledge
  • CCS Designation
  • Bilingual (fluent in both Spanish/English) is necessary
  • CSI knowledge
