The Opportunity:
The Sales Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of sales contracts within the organization in conjunction with Legal and other Symcor stakeholders, and to ensure that the resulting sales agreements reflect Symcor’s standards and minimize risk to the organization.
This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.
About The Role:
- Manage all aspects of the sales contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contract terms to directly support sales strategies and achieve business goals.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the review, negotiation, drafting, implementation, and execution of contracts.
- Respond to issues which may have an impact on the organization.
- Collaborate with Legal to ensure contracts comply with Symcor standards and templates, and laws and regulations.
- Act as an interface between various stakeholders internally and externally.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters, communicating with internal teams and external clients.
- Support the administration, implementation and interpretation of the company’s standard contracting policies, procedures and programs
- Work with Legal to revise templates that implement guardrails to improve the contracting process
- Support the continuous improvement of legal and business processes to promote efficiency
- Provide assistance and support to Legal in relation to the annual market review of Master Services Agreement templates ensuring templates provide a fair and equal starting position. Highlight areas of improvement
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
- Post secondary education in paralegal, business administration, law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications, including a law degree is an asset.
Experience:
- 5+years of experience in contract management, preferably in a sales environment.
Skill requirements:
- Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex contacts, including MSAs.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven ability to understand and achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively collaborating with key stakeholders to drive sales and business growth.
- Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated team player who takes initiative and can work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities with proven time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable and confident communicating at all levels including business partners, Executives, and Clients.
- Ensuring accuracy in contract terms and conditions.
- Ability to address and resolve contract-related issues efficiently.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
