Job Summary
Revelstoke Mountain Sports School seeks to recruit and retain experienced, attentive and enthusiastic employees to represent the Mountain Sports School as a Level 4 Trainer to deliver a variety of instructor training programs. Our focus is to provide our Guests with a memorable experience at RMR, in a fun and safe learning environment for all participants. RMR is committed to supporting our staff with training and scheduling flexibility to allow staff to attend certification courses.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead the AST 1 courses in class and on snow
- Follow Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 curriculum, classroom policies and IT policies
- Participate in the development of Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 team and curriculum
- Coordinate with snow school desk staff on facilities, materials, equipment preparedness
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Work eligibility in Canada • CAA member in good standing
- Completed Avalanche Operations 1
- Experience teaching AST 1 courses
- Meet the continuing professional development requirements established by the Avalanches Canada
- Can produce physical SIN card or valid revenue Canada doc including full SIN number • Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old
