Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Service Branch Manager to lead the success of our Quebec Service Division. This role focuses on growing the VFSS (Verification, Fire Systems & Alarms, Fire & Life Safety Emergency Equipment, Respiratory, Fall Arrest, T&C, and Rentals) business while supporting the branch's product and distribution needs.
This role demands strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the branch has the facilities, equipment, and skilled personnel to inspect, maintain, and install customer life safety systems and fire protection equipment while driving efficiency and profitability.
- Business Development & Collaborate with Sales to grow service offerings, manage contracts, support bids, and align service teams with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication, work order processing, and invoicing through collaboration with the Service Admin team.
- Deliver high-quality work and customer satisfaction through well-trained technicians, improved system designs, and benchmarked performance metrics.
- Oversee tools, inventory, vehicles, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Foster a positive workplace, coach and mentor staff, and align training plans with branch goals.
- Assist other regional service teams and Fire Systems groups to achieve their objectives.
Job Requirements

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the fire & life safety service industry; over 5 years preferred.
- Proven experience managing and supervising service teams, with strong customer relations and negotiation skills.
- Skilled in collaboration with customers, vendors, internal departments, and safety/quality personnel, often in demanding and high-pressure situations requiring tact and diplomacy.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze exceptions to established rules and adapt to frequent changes.
- Flexibility and a balanced approach to handle high-pressure scenarios effectively.

Proficiency in both French and English is required for this position to effectively meet the needs of our Francophone and Anglophone customers, with a priority on serving our French-speaking clientele in compliance with Quebec’s Charter of the French Language. This bilingual requirement also ensures our team can access and understand technical information in English provided by our national and international manufacturers and suppliers. These skills enable us to deliver precise, high-quality service to all partners and uphold our commitment to excellence.
