POSITION SUMMARY:

The role engages with the mortgage broker community to understand their needs and act as a reverse mortgage expert by initiating and managing sales conversations, building relationships, and guiding mortgage brokers through the sales process remotely.  The BDA collaborates closely with the in-field sales team, maintains accurate records of interactions, and contributes to achieving sales targets.   

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Generate revenue and achieve individual, team, and organizational quotas, while also contributing to sales strategy by defining and implementing plans to achieve sales objectives for a defined territory, managing it remotely
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets contributing to the overall organizational objectives
  • Close sales by effectively managing the sales process by acting as the primary contact from origination to funding supporting both internal partners and the mortgage broker
  • Develop a sales approach that focuses on creating relationships through exceptional customer service and deep product-knowledge to recommend HEB products
  • Assist with the onboarding of new Mortgage Brokers
  • Maintain and grow relationships within the broker community by providing outstanding and efficient service and resolving issues in a timely manner.  Ensure a smooth transition of multi-funding brokers to local in-field sales representatives
  • Manage assigned relationships via Salesforce
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, underwriting, and other sales teams to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to serving the broker community
  • Team up with the local Business Development Manager on attending industry trade shows and events acting as the HEB contact for the market, promoting HEB as a trusted solution, and network for new relationships

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications and Technical Expertise:

  • Progressive financial services Inside Sales experience, in credit or mortgage brokering preferred
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player and effective at managing positive relationships with internal partners who play a role in funding of deals (e.g. Underwriting)
  • A track record of overachieving sales quotas
  • A self-motivator with a desire to be a top earner in a performance-based compensation model
  • Disciplined, innovative, organized and driven to grow a market through prospecting, calls, emails, and virtual presentations
