POSITION SUMMARY:
The mandate of the role is to provide ongoing administration oversight of the entire Mortgage portfolio, by delivering high-quality service and efficient processes to the Bank’s Clients and internal departments to keep pace with growth and evolving business needs, as well as ensure the Bank’s collateral continues to be sound and secure by completing processes in accordance with the Bank’s policy.
MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE:
Specific accountabilities of the job include:
- Coordinate customer confirmation of property taxes and home insurance
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies and clients, confirming the insurance policy coverage
- Answering incoming calls from insurance providers, clients to address inquires or provide information
- Review home insurance policies for adequacy of coverage and process insurance updates, cancellations in MARS (software)
- Follow up to confirm payment of property taxes
- Ensure timely receipt and processing of required documentation, and communicate outstanding file requirements
- Update property taxes on arrears on file
- Process insurance claims for property damage/losses, by coordinating with the insurance adjuster and setting the claim
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
- A University Degree or College Diploma
- Prior inbound/outbound calls experience
- Progressive related experience, preferably in Financial Services
- Knowledge of residential mortgage products and the Bank’s policies and business processes
- Solid technical skills in Excel, Outlook, Word, Access
- Knowledge of Privacy and AML legislation an asset
- Bilingual (French and English) an asset
