Asset Manager
We’re looking for an Asset Manager to lead both the development and implementation of asset strategy! This role drives the analysis and management of a variety of industrial and retail properties in a collaborative team-based environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning + Strategy
- Assess strategic opportunities, including developing both revenue enhancing and cost reduction strategies
- Assess financial and operational asset performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Participate in annual budget and performance target preparation
- Prepare annual business plans
Valuation + Analysis
- Lead appraisals and take an active role in the valuation process
- Build and update valuation models for reforecasting returns, cash flow and scenario analysis
- Analyze lease deals to assess their impact on asset value
- Assess the covenant of prospective tenants and take measures to appropriately mitigate risks
- Work with internal teams during acquisitions, dispositions, and development
Research + Reporting
- Prepare reporting for portfolio management on monthly, quarterly, and annual performance
- Evaluate both the near-term and long-term capital projects, and value enhancing initiatives on the portfolio
- Prepare hold/sell recommendations for non-core assets
Leadership + Collaboration
- Work with the leasing team to ensure high levels of occupancy while maximizing returns
- Collaborate with the property management team on operational and day-to-day management activities
Presentation Preparation
- Support the preparation and delivery of quarterly client presentations and a variety of ad-hoc client requests
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of senior-level commercial asset management experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business or real estate; MBA is a plus
- Extensive experience calculating real estate returns and investment performance
- Argus Enterprise experience
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and establish priorities to meet tight deadlines
- Experience providing clear and actionable recommendations and solutions to a variety of complex financial, legal, and operational problems
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
