Working in a collaborative team-based environment, the EOH&S Summer Student will support the EH&S Compliance Team to complete and be a part of a system process improvement initiative.

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring EOH&S candidate to have the opportunity to work in and on an active EH&S Management Software System. This role will also provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of the EHS compliance requirements as it relates to the commercial real estate and property management industry. Access and training will be provided to the summer student on the EH&S Compliance System.


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To assist with OHS and EHS Compliance system inputs, including:
  • Adding additional questions into the Cority EHS Compliance Software
  • Data entry to include OHS Incident Types in the Cority EHS Compliance module for incident storage and retention aligned with our PI protocols.
  • Staging and beta testing queries and questions in the Cority EHS Compliance System
  • Adding forms and procedures into the Cority Document Library so to be current and available through GX1 and or My-Cority Platform
  • Build out of the Framework Principles for the ISO 45001
  • High Risk Tenant Process
  • E-Storage support
  • EOHS Training Support
  • Internal Intranet review and refresh. The successful summer student candidate will also assist with reviewing the Corporate ENV and OHS sites for better communication tools and strategies, focusing on easy access for retrieving forms and training opportunities

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled as an Environmental Health and Safety Student or Management Information Systems student
  • Eager for exposure to commercial real estate and enjoys data mining
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills and high proficiency in Pivot Tables
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and initiative that lead to effective solutions
  • Detail oriented and able to effectively manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • French as a second language would be an asset
