The Sales & Business Development Representative will be accountable for providing sales and service to East Penn Canada’s national, regional and local customers within their assigned territory. The Sales & Business Development Representative will also be accountable for providing training to customers, as appropriate, and developing new business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing / developing sales territory to meet appropriate market share expectations
- Developing role as a trusted advisor to current, new and potential customers
- Targeting and prospecting to obtain new business within assigned territory
- Using Salesforce and internal tools to manage the territory
- Making regular calls to customers within assigned territory to provide delivery of product, and customer support
- Providing technical information and demonstrating our product line
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting of activities
- Providing input on quarterly sales forecast and overview of the competitive landscape
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience
- Experience within in the automotive battery, manufacturing, automotive or industrial sectors an asset
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships
- Proven sales ability with knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills
- Self-directed, works independently; results driven/initiative
Other Considerations:
- Background checks including criminal checks, employment references, and drivers abstracts will be requested
Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 CDN plus Sales Incentive Plan. Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
