We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Human Resources, Systems and Data to join our team. The Manager or Senior Manager will be a key member of a highly collaborative HR team and support pre-implementation, implementation and project delivery activities related to the scaling and growing of Xenon’s people systems, data and reporting capabilities. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with experience implementing, scaling and operating people systems in a high growth, fast-paced, multi jurisdiction environment.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Human Resources, Systems and Data, will be based in Boston MA, USA. We may consider other locations for an exceptional candidate. The level of the position will be commensurate with the candidate’s education and industry experience. This role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

This position is initially offered as a fixed-term role with the potential for conversion to a permanent, full-time position based on performance, business needs, and mutual agreement. The decision to convert the role to an FTE will be at the discretion of the company and is not guaranteed. Factors such as the individual’s performance, the overall success of the project or department, and organizational priorities will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage key activities for HCM system selection, including assessments, future state process mapping, and requirements documentation. Work with program leads to define system and reporting needs.
  • Support the RFP process, facilitate vendor demos, evaluate proposals, and assess system functionality and fit, in close partnership with IT and additional cross functional stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and governance frameworks for people data, ensuring consistency and alignment with data management standards.
  • Support project delivery and implementation activities across the people system landscape related to ongoing optimizations and enhancements.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the People Systems & Data team and HR function.
  • Act in accordance with Company policies, including, for example, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and ensure policies are understood and followed by direct reports, if any.
  • Some international travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in scientific, HR or engineering related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing, managing and supporting HCM systems, preferably within high growth biotech organizations.
  • Certification in an enterprise HCM solution (e.g. Workday, Oracle or SuccessFactors) and experience with HR Case Management solutions (e.g. ServiceNOW HRSD) with hands-on configuration experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employee life cycle activities and HR processes, and the ability to connect the dots between process and technology.
  • Experience supporting or leading pre-implementation activities (current state assessment, process mapping, future state requirements, vendor selection) for HCM applications.
  • Experience supporting or leading full life cycle implementation of HCM technologies (pre-implementation, design, build, test, deploy, change management, support).
  • Strong project management, organization and delivery capabilities – ability to organize high level asks goals into timelines, deliverables and track progress and status.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. IT, Finance) and external vendors.
  • Highly proactive, with a strong track record of delivering high quality results.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

The base salary range for this role is $143,300 to $187,100 USD; we will consider above this range for exceptional candidates. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and other qualifications, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
