As a Manager, M&A, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our acquisition strategy and leading start-to-finish deal execution on buy-side transactions including financial and business due diligence, target valuation and financial modeling, and preparation of transaction documentation. The Manager, M&A will be a key team member of Westland’s active and high performing corporate development team.

 

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $108,000-135,000, with a 40-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Why we’ll love You:  

 

  • You have earned your CPA designation (CFA, CBV designations will be considered a strong asset)
  • You bring 2-3 years of direct experience in Mergers & Acquisitions transaction environment, such as private equity, Big 4 Financial Advisory, investment banking, corporate finance, corporate development
  • Your advanced Excel skills and data analysis expertise allow you to uncover valuable insights.
  • You're proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, helping you craft compelling presentations and documents.
  • Your analytical and critical thinking abilities are exceptional, enabling you to solve complex problems and think outside the box.
  • You excel in interpersonal communication, both verbal and written, making it easy for you to collaborate and share ideas.
  • You are detail-oriented and excel at prioritizing tasks, adapting quickly to changing needs, responsibilities, and environments.
  • You work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and thrive in dynamic environments.

 

 

Once here, you'll: 

 

  • Conduct financial valuations of potential acquisition targets, including in-depth financial analysis of quality of earnings, normalization adjustments, and estimation of synergies
  • Develop and manage advanced Excel financial models (“databooks”) to evaluate acquisition opportunities.
  • Organize and maintain virtual data rooms to ensure seamless document flow and communication both internally and externally
  • Participate in buy-side transaction due diligence, reviewing target information to uncover potential risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing expressions of interest and letters of intent that effectively communicate our intentions.
  • Contribute to creating investment presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board, helping to communicate key insights and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal diligence and post-merger integration teams to ensure smooth execution throughout the deal process.
  • Work with external legal and financial advisors on transactions, as needed, to ensure all aspects are covered.
  • Support the overall management and organization of deal files.
  • Take on additional ad hoc financial analysis and contributing to the team’s success.
