As the Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Sr Accounting Manager, Retail & Tour Ops producing monthly and annual financial statement in a timely manner and supporting the accounting department with day-to-day banking as well as assisting with Accounts Payable/Receivables. What You’ll Do:

• Prepare JE’s and maintain prepaid and capital assets schedules.
• Ad hoc reporting including month-end overhead analysis, expenses accrual for all departments.
• Ensure the month end activities and audit queries are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Account Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Prepare analysis of expense accounts as required
• Reconcile Landlord statements
• Report Sales to Landlords based on rental agreements
• HST/QST monthly reporting
• Government reports (TICO, OPC)
• Trust reporting
• Sales by province
• Prepare Budget Schedules
• Gathering supporting documentation to prepare annual budgets

What You’ll Need:

• Proficient in MS Office products – Excel
• Effective team player
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and consistently accurate
• Able to work independently, effectively and constructively under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• 1-3 years work experience
• Enrolled or working towards CPA designation is an asset
