Pay: $19 / hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Onboarding Administrator Intern is responsible for acting as the first point of contact at SOCAN and to provide excellent customer service to our applicants, members, and the general public via email. They will help educate our applicants and members to understand SOCAN. They are responsible for assisting in the processing of SOCAN Member Applications in addition to changes to their membership such as limited territory agreements and terminations.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acting as a primary contact for members and the general public who contact SOCAN’s Contact Centre via email
  • Responding to emails in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
  • Performing tasks with short cycle times such as profile updates and processing applications
  • Contact applicants for clarification or to obtain information, as required
  • Data entry of relevant information into internal and third-party databases
  • Self-monitor and measure performance against the Contact Centre’s standards of customer satisfaction
  • Help back up Membership Coordinator
  • Other duties as required, which are directly related to the key responsibilities of the position

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education
  • Available to work 35 hours a week, May through August
  • Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing and meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Experience with the MS suite of tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
