As Canada’s second largest science centre, Science North operates a multi-faceted operation in Sudbury, Ontario along with a thriving International Sales business. We bring experiences to life for science centers, museums, zoos, aquariums, visitors centers and corporate centers worldwide through the creation of award-winning, high impact products and services. Our marketing team is looking to complement the International Sales team with the addition of a true marketing maven who will increase their global presence through the creation of engaging marketing strategy to entice our international clients.
As our new Marketing Specialist, your goals will be to reach new audiences, generate leads, and expand the Science North brand internationally. You will develop and execute marketing strategies with a focus on turn-key visitor experiences like special exhibitions and Science North’s Nature Exchange.
Working with our marketing and international sales team members, you will be responsible for the organization and execution of marketing strategies that will support trade shows, expand on new partnerships, and reach new international markets through digital visitor experiences. Your role will entail creating, tracking, measuring and analyzing campaigns in order to increase engagement and awareness of the international sales brand.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support international sales with research, development, and implementation of strategy around installing creative content and exhibits in international markets
- Develop creative marketing tactics and strategies, action plans, and campaign objectives
- Contribute to out-of-the-box concepts and ideas to proactively promote Science North exhibit sales, improve client engagement and create brand awareness.
- Work collaboratively to create marketing briefs that offer unique strategies and ensure timely delivery of marketing assets
- Write engaging content for digital and print materials including social media, sales collateral, conferences, email campaigns and more
- Maintain a unified brand voice and ensure it is represented properly and consistently across all content created
- Support the graphic design team to generate creative assets and ensure they are delivered on time without error
- Track and report digital analytics
- Travel to conferences to support the international sales team and gather market research
What you bring:
- Post-secondary education in Business Studies, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications
- Marketing or communications background and/or related experience relevant to the position
- Experience in creating/overseeing marketing campaigns from initial concept to final reporting
- Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills that ensure seamless alignment and understanding among all parties involved
- Strong copywriting skills - demonstrated proficiency in clear and proper language copy, editing, and proofreading
- Superior organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- A willingness and ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings as needed to support unit events/programs
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, M365 and Windows
