Nature & Scope → Your Role at Roots
As the Junior Graphic Designer, Co-Branded Apparel (B2B), you will play a key role in supporting our B2B department by delivering optimal graphic designs for co-branded apparel projects. You’ll develop creative layouts for custom apparel and leather goods, helping bring our partners’ brands to life through collaborative design. Working on fast-turn timelines, you'll support the execution of design concepts, outline embellishment techniques, and maintain organized artwork files
Key Responsibilities → How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work with and create co-branded art files for both a variety of apparel and leather products
- Follow direction in showcasing Roots products and unique embellishment techniques in pitch decks, as well as, creation of visual assets, all to support the sales team
- Set up product drawing files from templates for presenting to B2B customers
- Organize working and final artwork files to ensure easy reference and accessibility
- Suggest various embellishment techniques and applications, mindful of any product limitations, on Roots apparel and leather goods
- Design custom graphics for co-branded apparel programs for a variety of unique retail sales environments and corporate incentives
- Develop on-brand presentation decks and elevated pitch packages to support sales initiatives
- Learn and apply leather decoration techniques including deboss, embroidery and chenille
- Save and organize ‘size as’ logo artwork files as needed for a variety of products with quick turnarounds
- Create sales and organizational tools to support sales team
- Research market and graphic trends and present findings
- Ability to multitask juggling a variety of creative projects, often with overlapping deadlines
Qualifications & Experience → The Skills You Bring
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Minimum of 1+ years' experience in Graphic Design (within apparel industry preferred)
- Strong Typography, Illustration, Photo Manipulation and Editorial/Layout Design skills
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Detail orientated with a passion to learn and ask questions
- Collaborative, dependable and creative
- Takes initiative and works well in team environment
- Organizational & planning skills, interpersonal skills and time management
- Clear understanding of domestic embellishment options, such as screen print, flocking and embroidery
- The enthusiasm to play “full out” by learning & doing
- Follows direction and knows when to go the extra mile in sharing creative solutions
