We are looking for a Graphic Designer (International) who brings a positive attitude, a passion for creative excellence, and a deep respect for our Roots heritage.
As a key member of the Graphic Design team, the Graphic Designer (International) will play a critical role in creating innovative logos and embellishments aligned with our seasonal direction, brand identity, and the unique needs of our international markets.
Key Responsibilities → How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead on International Graphic Collections: Act as the main point person for the international teams within the graphic department, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on design projects across various global markets.
- Tailored Design for Global Markets: Partner with the International team to develop innovative seasonal graphics that speak to local tastes and trends, with an emphasis on Taiwan, China, and other key Asian markets.
- Cultural Storytelling: Incorporate cultural insights into your design process to ensure your graphics resonate with international audiences, with a focus on blending contemporary trends with Roots' heritage.
- End-to-End Design Process: Manage the creation of artwork, review and approve artwork strike-offs, and collaborate with vendors to ensure designs meet Roots' quality and technical standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, merchandising, and product development teams to ensure international designs align with seasonal objectives and maintain consistency with the brand’s identity.
Qualifications & Experience → The Skills You Bring
- International Market Experience: Strong background in apparel graphic design (min. 4 years), with a particular advantage for experience in international markets, especially Asia.
- Language Skills: English language, as well as Mandarin language skills are a strong plus, enabling seamless communication with international partners and stakeholders.
- Advanced Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), along with a solid understanding of print design, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects and inputs from various stakeholders, synthesizing them into cohesive designs that align with both the brand's and market's needs.
- Collaborative & Communicative: Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential for gaining consensus across teams and ensuring alignment with seasonal goals.
