Marketing Account Manager (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Position Overview
The Marketing Account Manager supports Advisors in our Calgary office, as well as other select offices across Western Canada by coordinating marketing projects and initiatives and helps to execute marketing strategies for advisor teams.
This is a maternity leave coverage for sixteen (16) months.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to manage competing demands while providing proactive marketing strategies and thought leadership for Advisor teams
• Boutique Marketing management and coordination are key functions of this role. Responsibilities include receiving campaign and ad-hoc requests, proofreading and some copywriting and editing, coordinating and briefing the design team as well as managing a multi-pronged sign-off process
• Collaborating with Advisor teams to develop custom marketing plans to help them achieve their communication and prospecting goals using digital and traditional marketing methods
• Organize and keep careful documentation for project trafficking between vendors, clients and the marketing team
• Generate ad-hoc marketing materials such as communications and email campaigns
• Occasional travel to other regional offices such as Edmonton to meet with advisors and branch management teams and support their regional efforts
• Training and support for Advisors and their team members as needed on the digital platforms marketing uses (i.e. website CMS, email tool, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, budget, project files and Compliance / Branch Manager and marketing sign-offs
• Track and liaise with the accounting department on a monthly basis regarding all Marketing department expenditures and marketing budget chargebacks
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years or more experience in marketing and account management
• Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects in an energetic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well with people by listening and collaborating
• Experience with account management and results-oriented
• Resourceful self-starter with ability to jump in and ramp-up quickly
• Ability to prioritize activities and take initiative
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work both independently and effectively in a team environment
• Production and design knowledge a benefit
• Understanding of the wealth management industry and financial terminology a strong asset
Education
• College or university required
• Marketing or communications diploma preferred
