Test Specialist

Antec Controls (www.anteccontrols.com) is a leader in environmental monitoring and control for critical spaces such as operating rooms, isolation rooms, and laboratories. We create high-performance airflow control solutions that ensure the safety of occupants in environments where advancements to health and wellness are made. Our range of products includes electronic controllers, touchscreen interfaces, sensors, air valves and many other supporting products that ensure accurate and precise airflow control. Our controllers are highly configurable, allowing for optimization of room and fume hood control.

Antec Controls has a diverse team of engineers which includes mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines. Our team handles the development of air valves, as well as the electronic controls and firmware for a range of control products. In addition, we design web-based tools and custom software for controller configuration. The successful candidate will be expected to learn and create expertise within the role while remaining open to cross-training within our fast-growing business.

Test Specialist (Entry Level) – Antec Controls 

We are looking for a Test Specialist who is technically inclined, who thrives on new challenges, and who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain product testing plans.
• Perform testing for research and development both benchtop and in full-scale rooms.
• Perform exploratory testing for new and existing products.
• Write test reports documenting procedures and results.
• Design, implement, and improve automated testing infrastructure.
• Develop strategies for improving testing efficiency.
• Perform testing to troubleshoot and resolve field issues.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization, with an eye for detail.
• A high level of critical thinking and accountability.
• Self-motivation to learn and strive for excellence.
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python is considered an asset.
• Experience with testing and using test equipment considered an asset.
• Experience with hand tools, wiring, and soldering considered an asset.
