Calypso is seeking a dynamic marketing professional to join our team! Just imagine being responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for Canada’s biggest waterpark!
How You'll Make an Impact
- Plan and manage consumer promotions, in-park promotions and general season pass promotions.
- Executes in-park sponsorship programs including signage design, placement and in-park activity. Develop yearly event plan designed to drive visitation including event concept, budgeting and implementation. Social media & email Marketing as a key part of the strategic plan. Analyze success of publicity programming and its return on investment.
- Perform as primary point of contact with all radio and print medium partners. Create and implement strategic public relations plans. Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with all media contacts. Strategically guide media photographers, video production crews and other special news/publicity staff to create the correct message in interpreting our business to the public. Serve as park spokesperson and liaison between the park and its media contacts.
- See your work in action running publicity campaigns for annual season openings, major ride introductions, special events and large capital project announcements. Establish relationships and partnerships with local community and philanthropic groups.
- Website maintenance and updates
- Manage your support teams in Group Sales & Events, Call Centre & Information Centre Communication
- Process group sales reservations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Three years marketing experience preferred.
- Marketing and/or communications experience within the theme park, entertainment or hospitality, tourism industry is an asset.
- Familiarization with activation of campaigns on popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Tik-Tok.
- Ability to build paid media campaigns and developing content through paid media channels.
You Bring:
- Strong written & oral communication skills in both French and English.
- Computer and software skills using Microsoft suite and others.
- A commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the company.
- A valid driver's license & your own transportation to the park.
- Able to pass a criminal, drug, alcohol and background check.
