JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Calypso’s Technicians are responsible for the upkeep and repairs of equipment and infrastructure including our attractions and buildings. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the overall upkeep of our grounds, attractions, buildings, and equipment to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Report to assigned work area on time and in compliance with company dress code. 
• Comply with company and departmental standards on grooming. 
• Respond to work orders for repairs/preventative maintenance daily as assigned
• Inspect and maintain rides and attractions to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations
• Perform repairs on buildings, equipment, and infrastructure as needed

• Management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g. Emergencies, change in workload, rush jobs, staff levels, or technical development) arise. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:  

• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
• Organized and detail oriented. 
• Good communication skills

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:   

• This position is outdoors in all summer weather
• This position requires frequent work in heat and sun.
• This position requires occasional work in or around water, water treatment chemicals, fumes/odors.
