The Opportunity: 

Postmedia’s Audience team is looking for a manager to support the development of fresh and innovative audience segments. In this role, you’ll be splitting your time between development of new segments and supporting sales teams. The successful candidate will be at home building and shipping audiences quickly to meet client needs

As someone who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, you’re a self-starter comfortable working independently and in teams. On a day-to-day basis you will be a conduit for the business at large and keeping the big picture in your sights. You love to test out new ideas because, well, you’re innovative like that. You’ll wear many hats in this role, but delivering killer digital audiences for advertisers will be the driving force behind everything you do.

 

What you'll do:

  • Support the overall product strategy and roadmap for Postmedia’s Audience Team
  • Drive taxonomy development, maintenance, and use of the DMP across the organization.
  • Hands-on-keys DMP operational administration
  • Organize and maintain a complete understanding of the DMP, staying current on the products, features, and offerings within the solution.
  • Test and validate existing and new audiences, making sense of the data
  • Work with whomever you need to in order to get things done (Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Fulfillment, Subscription, etc.)
  • Get sales teams and clients excited about what you’re working on by owning core product messaging and go-to-market strategy

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, data analytics, statistics, computer science or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience working with consumer data, segmentation, and driving/executing media plans; experience with a major publisher, media agency or digital advertiser preferred.
  • Direct experience managing DMP solution including Adobe Audience Manager, Permutive, Lotame, etc…
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, as well as work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re a problem solver who brings creative solutions to the table and are great at breaking down big tasks into logical steps
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners; you focus on solutions and not problems, and can lead meetings without breaking a sweat
  • Experience in a media, start-up or digital environment preferred
