This is a 14-month term position. Position title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and aligned with the responsibilities of the role. Join a small, but mighty marketing team supporting a growing regional airline with two passenger-facing brands: Perimeter Aviation and Bearskin Airlines. We're looking for a well-rounded, strategic, and creative storyteller who’s a natural self-starter. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a passion for content strategy, social media, and brand communication.

As the Marketing Specialist – Social & Content, you will take ownership of our digital content planning and execution while strengthening brand consistency. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead the strategy, creation, and performance tracking of content across social media, email, and blogs, and support internal communications to drive engagement and advance business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Management

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of monthly content calendars for social media, email, blog, and internal communications.
  • Develop content strategies that support brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation.
  • Monitor social channels and online sentiment, responding appropriately using brand-aligned voice and tone.
  • Optimize content for SEO and implement keyword strategies across digital platforms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external creators, and brand advocates.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging platforms to keep our content approach fresh and effective.
  • Maintain and enhance content guidelines, response policies, and creative standards.
  • Assist in executing communications, engagement, sponsorship initiatives, and all other duties as assigned.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Use data analytics tools to track performance, measure ROI, and evaluate success across platforms.
  • Define and monitor social media KPIs, translating insights into actionable improvements.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports to inform strategy and guide campaign adjustments.

Brand & Cross-Functional Support

  • Contribute to campaign development, messaging, and execution across multiple initiatives.
  • Ensure all content and creative assets align with our brand identity and communication standards.
  • Support initiatives with strategic content planning and delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in social media, digital content, or communications, with proven results.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices, SEO, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and tools like Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
  • Skilled in content management systems, email platforms, and social scheduling tools.
  • Experience in graphic design, video editing, or photography is an asset.
  • Certifications in digital marketing, content strategy, or analytics are considered an asset.
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations.

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties.
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role (including water transportation).
  • Office-based role, includes long periods of sitting.
  • Attend and participate in offsite company and sponsorship events and activities.
  • Repetitive tasks.

Due to the nature of our industry, this role is based onsite with the opportunity for some remote work. As an airline, we operate in a highly collaborative, time-sensitive environment that requires close coordination with cross-functional teams. In-person presence supports real-time communication, access to shared tools, and the ability to quickly develop content that is responsive to operational needs and aligned with our audience.
