Position Summary

Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Purchaser is responsible for procuring parts and supplies for departments throughout Perimeter, maintaining inventory levels to meet Company demand.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ensure that supplies are purchased and delivered as necessary
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors via phone, e-mail and/or fax as necessary
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Effectively co-ordinate with other purchasers for specific supplies and vendors
  • Effectively co-ordinate with shops and personnel for purchasing requirements
  • Ensure that all purchase orders are accurate and include all necessary information
  • Match receiving reports to vendor invoices and forward to designated personnel for approval of payment
  • File paperwork
  • Use inventory management software to find, issue, receive and return parts and materials
  • Conduct inventory counts, checks and adjustments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Knowledge of Aircraft/Aviation parts considered an asset
  • Customer Service Experience considered an asset
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Inventory Management Software considered an asset (WinAir preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license considered an asset
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
  • Various shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline
  • Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
