Marketing Coordinator (Maternity leave position)
Panorama Mountain Resort seeks an energetic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. This position plays a crucial role in executing and coordinating various aspects of our marketing efforts, ensuring that communication channels reflect the unique, vibrant experience the resort offers. This is an exciting opportunity to be immersed in the mountain resort business while working closely with a passionate team who drive business to the resort.
The successful candidate must be able to articulate the resort’s vision consistently and creatively through a variety of communications mediums. Being highly organized, technically savvy, and have a flair for writing.
As a key member of the marketing team, the focus will be external communication within four main areas: email (40%), website (40%), digital signage (10%) and e-commerce (10%).
To excel in this role, the applicant will need a strong practical marketing and communications background with a focus on written content. An acute understanding of digital communications and content marketing is imperative. Experience in the tourism and hospitality sector is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Email Communications: Through email distribution, communicate a variety of messaging based on the editorial calendar and as directed by the Media & Content Specialist. Leverage Panorama’s segmented database to deliver targeted messaging, measured by campaign reporting. Support various business units to present email offers and promotions that add value to the in-resort guest experience. Work with Inntopia Partner Services to deploy automated sales campaigns and informational messaging.
- Website Content: Use the CMS platform to ensure that panoramaresort.com and our partner platforms carry the most up-to-date information, imagery, and video. Work to enhance the site with a focus on useability, speed to information, and the promotion of Panorama experiences. Also, be the curator of our digital asset manager platform to ensure our partners have access to the latest and best imagery.
- Digital Signage: Manage Panorama’s digital signage hub and be responsible for content displayed. Create screen slides, load assets to software and schedule content.
- eCommerce Content: Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure online sales channels showcase our offerings with clear, accurate, and engaging descriptions and images.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / Requirements:
- University / College education with specialization in marketing or communication.
- A minimum one year of experience in a resort-based marketing role, including
- e-newsletter distribution, digital content creation and event promotion.
- Articulate English speaker with very strong writing and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented and able to work under pressure while handling multiple projects.
- Basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure.
- An active interest in skiing or snowboarding, mountain biking and other mountain resort leisure activities.
- Interest in photography and being able to take great photos is an asset.
- Comfortable and enthusiastic in an innovative organization undergoing positive
- change and adaptation.
- An ability to respond quickly to requests, ideas, and suggestions in a non-defensive way.
- High energy levels with the drive to make things happen.
- Willing and available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Key Relationships:
- EXTERNAL: Resort guests, Panorama homeowners, local community, and tourism bodies (DMOs)
- INTERNAL: Sales and marketing team members, senior management, and leaders of Panorama Mountain Resort business units.
