Partner Care serves as the donations department of Power to Change.  We are a dynamic and efficient unit that leverages its size to foster close collaboration and agility. About the Role:

As a vital member of the Partner Care team, you will be responsible for processing daily donations with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all information is accurately entered into our database.  In addition to performing essential administrative tasks —such as processing donations, managing donor information and record keeping you will also engage with our valued donors through phone calls and emails, addressing their requests in a timely and courteous manner   —there may be opportunities to take on more strategic responsibilities to enhance donor relations, further our impact and foster meaningful relationships that support the mission of Power to Change.

 

The ideal candidate will be committed to growth and eager to take on new challenges. A relevant bachelor's degree and applicable experience are preferred. Familiarity with CRA receipting regulations is an asset, along with strong computer skills, particularly in GSuite and database systems such as Donor Direct.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving the following objectives:

 

Donations Entry and Processing (80%)

  • Manage routine administrative tasks related to donation processing, including maintaining accurate donation records and documentation.

  • Timely and accurately sort and process cash, cheque, credit card donations, and wire transfers.

  • Process all online donations from various platforms, such as Canada Helps, Benevity, and Charitable Impact.

  • Execute ad hoc donation imports and ensure accurate data integration for effective tracking and reporting.

  • Manage automatic payment schedules and accurately generate files for credit card, EFT, and post-dated cheque transactions.

  • Resolve issues related to ACH transactions, including errors, declines, and invalid processing information.

  • Maintain backup documentation for all donation data entry procedures.

  • Keep the donations database updated, ensuring accurate entry and timely updates of donation information.

  • Collaborate with the Donations Team Coordinator to assist in training and addressing minor inquiries regarding donation processing, including data entry errors and missing information.

  • Maintain accurate records and uphold data hygiene standards.

  • Continuously apply best practices to enhance donation management processes for greater efficiency.

 

Donor & Staff Care  (20%)

  • Respond to calls and emails from donors and staff promptly, with a friendly and professional demeanour.

  • Assist the Donations Team Coordinator and other team members with special projects or campaigns as needed

  • Collaborate with the Donations Manager to develop and update policies and procedures for donation processing.

  • You have a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with proven administrative experience

  • Naturally curious, proactive in asking questions and thinking critically.

  • Able to work independently while actively contributing to team projects as needed.

  • You are customer service oriented (an asset)

  • A process optimizer who identifies opportunities to streamline workflows.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with a methodical approach.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

  • Highly organized, demonstrating sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills. 

  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
