Job Summary
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Event Manager to plan and execute all aspects of our on-mountain events. This is a dynamic role where you will coordinate the event volunteer team and provide administrative support to ensure the success of our events.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with the Event Manager to develop event plans, ensuring all details are carefully considered and executed.
- Coordinate and manage the event volunteer team, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and ensuring everyone is working together effectively.
- Assist with event administration, including managing event logistics, coordinating vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Work closely with various internal departments to ensure seamless event operations, such as coordinating with the Food and Beverage team for catering and the Marketing team for promotional materials.
- Support the Event Manager in managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Oversee on-site event execution, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for event attendees.
- Assist in post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members, volunteers, vendors, and event attendees.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances during event planning and execution.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience in event coordination or related roles is preferred.
Work Conditions
- This position may require work on evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
- Physical stamina to handle on-site event setup and coordination.
- The ability to lift and carry event materials and equipment as needed.
