Job Summary

The Dispatcher primarily responsibility is to monitor radio traffic at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort, maintain radio support for mountain operations, assist with logistical support, record keeping within the mountain patrol department, and support day to day operations of mountain patrol.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor radio transmissions from all on-hill departments.

• Record times and relevant information.

• Act as base radio operator during emergency response/

• Complete accident report forms when needed.

• Follow Emergency protocols as outlined in the Mountain Safety Emergency procedures.

• Assists in overseeing all incident investigations on mountain.

• Perform administrative duties as required.

• Work with all departments to ensure smooth operations and day to day functions.

• Human Resources related functions that may be required.

• Assists OH&S Supervisor as required.

• Assists Slopes Manager and Mountain Patrol Supervisor with daily administrative task.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• The incumbent will be required to work extended hours including weekends and statutory holidays.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Post-secondary education, or an appropriate and equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

• Advanced computer skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.

• Knowledge of radio protocols and etiquette.

• Knowledge of workplace safety and health issues.

• OFA 1 certification

• Is familiar with the general operation of the resort.
