Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in application programming and software development.
  • 3+ year diploma / degree in technology or related discipline.
  • Experience with X++ programming, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O ERP API development and understanding data entities is required.
  • Ability to develop or customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O ERP UI is required.
  • Experience with creating SSRS reports in Dynamics 365 F&O ERP is required.
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate is an asset.
  • Strong technical understanding of OO design patterns, impersonation, authentication, SOA, WebAPI, microservices, Entity framework, relational databases are essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of development testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing)
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
  • Demonstrated professional experience working on large projects and highly performant intranet / web applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the role of a programmer and analyst as necessary to build and program solutions in accordance with provided design, technologies, methodologies, guidelines and policies.
  • Taking responsibility of successful project delivery for development or integration centric initiatives – with focus on project planning, establishing timelines, engage architecture team(s) for design verification.
  • When working with the architecture and development team, provide mentorship and direction to the assigned team and at the end of each project / initiative, provide performance feedback to each of the team members in collaboration with their manager.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and document issues as well as potential resolutions.
  • Ensure effective automated unit and integration tests for systems and enhancements are developed and manual test logs are maintained by team where automation cannot be achieved. Adhere to predefined testing processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure application architect is engaged when working with new initiatives and solution is presented to our internal Architecture and Standards Review Board when new or unique infrastructure requirements or integration solutions have to be considered.
  • Participate in code reviews and provides detailed feedback to ensure compliance with programming standards as well as code optimization and refactoring to improve efficiency and design.
  • Participate in peer testing initiatives as required.
  • Assist in defining and maintaining programming standards.
  • Ensure that the code is documented and updated in the version control database consistently.
  • Other duties or special projects as required.
