MOBIA is currently recruiting a Telecom Production Tech to join our team in the GTA, Ontario. This role involves assembling, installing, and mounting telecommunication equipment (such as 4G/5G radios, Microwaves, and Small Cell units) according to work orders, including unpacking and verifying materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling and installing telecommunication equipment according to work order (4G/LTE/5G radios, Microwave, Small Cell, Pico Cell, etc.)
- Receiving materials, unpacking & verification of work orders & spec’s
- Identifying missing materials and reporting to management
- Installation, mounting and placement of telecommunication equipment in relay racks and h-frames (crimping, soldering, bix wiring, continuity testing, and use of basic telecom diagnostic tools)
- Cutting different types of cables to length and creating cable assemblies
- Reading & interpreting equipment installation manuals and drawings
- Other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous Warehouse Experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment to meet customer deadlines
- Lifting and moving equipment up to 80 lbs. (work classification: heavy work)
- This is a warehouse production-based position, but the ability to occasionally travel or work in the field is an asset
- Bilingual is an asset but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail
- Ability to think critically
