McElhanney is seeking an intermediate to advanced level of skilled Field Survey Representative to join our Alberta Geomatics team. This position is open to candidates residing in Red Deer, Lethridge or Medicine Hat, Alberta or willing to relocate to Central Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and legal requirements. The successful candidate will be working on asset management and pipeline integrity tasks throughout the full lifecycle of our client’s pipeline projects across Alberta. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Completion of various types of field Surveys, focusing on a variety of unique and midstream surveys for the oil and gas industry
- Manage information flow from field to office and prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations.
- Working with our clients and landowners to both start and complete, multi stage projects.
What You’ll Bring:
- Two-year technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering or 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Underground Utility Locating
- Experience working with client liaisons and confident problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain, able to work in wildlife populated areas, and willing to work in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours
- Valid driver’s license required
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required, as well as pre-site access testing as per client requirements
Salary Range: $55,000 to $82,000. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
This role is designated as a safety sensitive position.
