POSITION OVERVIEW

Lloyd Sadd is looking for a Learning & Development Facilitator and eLearning Developer to create and support the training of staff in the insurance industry to meet the diverse need of technical professional talent in the insurance industry. This role facilitates in-person and online training sessions and provides administrative support to the Learning & Development commercial team. The successful candidate will have a background in facilitation, teaching, or training; commercial insurance experience is a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Most importantly, you will lead by example, live our values, and drive an exceptional internal experience for insurance professionals at all levels.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences using a range of methodologies, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Identify and utilize external resources, such as industry experts, workshops, and online courses, to supplement internal training offerings and ensure a well-rounded development approach.
  • Facilitate and deliver the training content.
  • Deliver consistent systems and process training.
  • Use insurance knowledge to incorporate effective examples into training.
  • Uses adult learning principals and multiple facilitation techniques to create a professional and engaging learning experience.
  • Explores and shares emerging training concepts and best practices to support the continuous improvement of the program, makes recommendations for program improvement, and implements changes.
  • Supports the development, maintenance and coordination of an annual training calendar that meets the needs and reflects the goals of the organization.
  • Provides learner progress updates, evaluates participants, and reports to management and escalates issues in a timely manner with recommended solutions.
  • Review trainee work assignments and provide constructive feedback as needed.
  • Ensure Lloyd Sadd brand and corporate guidelines are reflected in training and organization development collateral and training materials.
  • Other duties as required.

LMS Administration

  • Supports the launch, rollouts and ongoing follow-up of new learning & development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication tools (LSI Experience) to promote Learning & Development initiatives to increase awareness.
  • Schedule training classes for new and existing employees.
  • Preparation of all training material including creating, updating printing, organizing and planning.
  • Room organization including IT coordination as required.
  • EPIC setup & defaults.

REquirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in learning and development, talent development, or a related role.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • As an effective team player, contributed to a positive, collaborative and engaged work environment and the overall success by actively participating in meetings, sharing knowledge/ideas and recommending areas for improvement.
