Job Title: Summer Student

Term: May - August
Location: Manitoba

We are currently looking for motivated Summer Students to join the G3 Team across various locations in Western Canada. The Summer Student will assist in a variety of Operational and Administrative duties to support the Elevator. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and sound knowledge of the Grain Industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply at all times with corporate EH&S policies and best practices.
• Ensure physical facilities are clean and well-maintained.
• Follow and promote G3’s core values of Integrity, Resourcefulness, Collaboration, Respect, and Accountability.
• Assist with receiving grain by truck, including weighing and documentation.
• Assist with the storing of grain.
• Shipping grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives.
• Provide friendly/quality customer service to all farmers and commercial truckers.
• Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships between management, staff and G3 head office.
• Other duties as required.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong work ethic, ability to learn and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook,
• Good communication and team-work skills.
• Farming/Ag Background considered an asset.
