JOB SUMMARY
The Bed Truck Driver: Levels 1 - 3 is responsible moving all equipment around on location
INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
Truck Pusher, other Truck Drivers, Yard Hands, Mechanics, Rig Managers and Yard office personnel, Service Manager / Shop Supervisor
EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
Third party Contractors
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Works in a safe, healthy, and environmentally protective manner
• Moves drilling rigs and related equipment from the current location to the new location
• Ensures all required paperwork is in their truck
• Keeps trip sheets, interstate mileage records, and logbooks
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment and performs light maintenance on units they drive
• Maintains pre-trip inspection records
• Abides by and is responsible for enforcement of safety policies
• Follows all load securement requirements
• Follows direction and is in close communication with supervisor and rig managers
• Documents work per Ensign standards
• Abides by all DOT laws, rules and regulations and is willing and able to travel when and where requested
• Demonstrates willingness and availability to work long hours and weekends when requested on short
notice
• Reports and corrects any unsafe work practices and safety hazards
• Participates in all safety programs, processes and requirements
• Attends Operations Training up to two times per year and up to five days per training at designated
locations
• Performs other duties as directed by management
• Level 1:
o Understands and is proficient in Haul Truck: Level 3 duties
o Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
o Demonstrates knowledge of capabilities of truck
o Checks lines for wear or breakage
o Communicates well and completes paper work and logs properly
• Level 2:
o Understands and is proficient in Bed Truck Driver: Level 1 duties
o Demonstrates knowledge of proper lifting capabilities of bed truck
o Cleans and maintains truck
o Makes sure truck has proper rigging equipment to perform job safely
o Helps out in yard, when asked
o Answers phone when needed for after-hours duty
o Mentors Bed Truck Drivers: Level 1
• Level 3:
o Understands and is proficient in Bed Truck Driver: Levels 1 & 2 duties
o Demonstrates knowledge of where all pieces set

o Performs paperwork daily
o Assists with other operations as needed
o Mentors Bed Truck Drivers: Levels 1 & 2
OTHER DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Certifications - Maintains valid First Aid and CPR Certifications and technical and safety certifications required by company or government agencies; remains current on all OSHA, EUSD and other required training
• Drug-free workplace - Conforms to a drug-free workplace, not be under the influence of mind-altering prescription or non-prescription drugs, including alcohol and other drugs of abuse.
• Occupational Health and Safety – Understands fully the Ensign Health and Safety policy and self-responsibility for own health and safety at work; Demonstrates responsibility to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission
o Uses the correct protective clothing and equipment as provided by Ensign and guards against misuse or damage to such equipment
o Reports any hazardous situations arising in the workplace that cannot be self corrected, or injury incurred during the course of work, no matter how minor
o Avoids injury resulting from manual handling tasks, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Understands and is capable of reading all safety / training requirements and materials
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic mechanical and technical skills
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Level 1: High School diploma or GED is preferred
• Level 2: High School diploma or GED and 1 year of experience is preferred
• Level 3: High School diploma or GED and 3 years of experience is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
At various times and under certain circumstances, any personnel may frequently be required to assist and participate in tasks which ordinarily are the primary responsibility of another employee. Aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscle endurance, joint range of motion and flexibility are requirements of all field positions.

o Tolerates extremes of temperature that could exceed 100 degrees F or fall below a minus 40 degrees F

o Stands frequently
o Walks frequently
o Balances while moving over equipment, slippery or uneven surfaces
o Climbs stairs, vertical ladders, step ladders and various obstacles occasionally
o Maintains various body postures; bends frequently
o Lifts 25 lbs floor to waist up to 15 repetitions
o Carries 25 lbs front weight up to 60 feet
o Lifts 25 lb objects overhead up to 5 times in a row
o Pushes and pulls horizontal force of 50 lbs for a distance of 50 feet
o Grips and holds repeatedly
o Reaches above shoulder and below shoulder frequently
o Twists frequently
o Crouches, squats, kneels, forward bends infrequently
o Operates foot and hand controls requiring up to 15 lbs force
o Maintains neck mobility to be able to view overhead equipment
o Wears applicable personal protection equipment including, but not limited to, a hard hat, safety toe boots, hearing protection, goggles, safety glasses and safety harness
• Mental
o Remains mentally alert to the workplace surroundings for an entire shift
QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must:
• be at least 21 years of age, according to USDOT regulations
• pass a post-offer physical examination, fitness testing, safety aptitude test, drug tests & background check
• provide proof of and maintain proper legal authorization to work in the United States
• arrange for reliable transportation to and from work and training locations
• be able to speak and read English well enough to understand verbal and written safety postings, alerts and announcements, communicate with co-workers and be able to participate in job safety analysis meetings
• maintain a valid CDL Class A License, preferably with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements; good driving record and medical card; and meet Ensign Insurance Requirements to drive, including permission for release of driver records
