About the Role

As a Power Engineer Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our mechanical systems, heating systems, and building infrastructure. In addition to power engineering responsibilities, you’ll work collaboratively with the maintenance team to provide assistance with building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other general maintenance tasks.

This is a permanent, on-site position that offers an incredible opportunity to live and work in the Arctic while being part of a collaborative and dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Provide building maintenance assistance with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other infrastructure needs.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and system issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of system operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Provide on-call support for emergencies as needed.

Requirements

• Power Engineering Certification (mandatory).
• Proven experience in system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to relocate to Iqaluit, NU (subsidized staff accommodations provided).

Compensation

The salary offered for this role is $92,300.00 to $105,650 per annum, depending on certification and experience.
