ABOUT THE POSTION
The Warehouse Assistant will play a key role in receiving, organizing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments from suppliers.
- Accurately place inventory in designated locations.
- Enter receiving data into the ERP system and complete required documentation.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or low supplies to the Warehouse Team Lead.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders according to specifications.
- Coordinate shipping methods (freight, courier, will-call) as needed.
- Provide freight quotes and arrange logistics when required.
- Assist with customer pickups and will-call orders.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Replenish stock and maintain organized storage areas.
- Keep aisles clear and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
- Assist with cycle counts and year-end inventory audits.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including proper lifting and equipment use.
- Notify management of low stock or supply needs.
- Support team members with daily operational tasks.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse, shipping, or inventory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift certification a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team player with reliable work ethic.
