Job Overview:
As a Corporate Sanitation Manager, you would be reporting to the Director of Sanitation, this role will be responsible for developing and supporting sanitation program and practices at all Give and Go sites in order to sustain health and safety, food safety and efficiency standards throughout the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for promoting all plant safety, GMP, and food safety policies and procedures while proactively supporting company needs and requirements
- Develop, administer, and recommend enhancements for sanitation policy and procedures
- Empower team members through training and feedback to meet and exceed expectations for productivity, effectiveness of cleaning programs, and food/personal safety.
- Assess sanitation related activities, report non-compliances and take corrective and preventive actions to assure compliance to all quality assurance food safety and health and safety requirements.
- Support discussions and changes on hygienic design for new and current equipment. Work with equipment vendors to ensure sanitary design before installation/modifications are made.
- Weekly site visits to verify sanitation program and practices are being executed in an appropriate manner and when necessary, due to vacations or other absences of sanitation staff, pitch in and perform work assignments to ensure completion of tasks
- Coordinate, plan and document sanitation activities and schedule workforce if required
- Facilitate root cause analysis for non-compliant areas, develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve effectiveness of cleaning, integrated pest management, pathogen environmental monitoring and waste management
Recipe for Success:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a sanitation management role
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a quality role in the food manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of HAACP (hazard analysis and critical control points)
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams
- Ability to run analytics and use database systems to create reports
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, an approachable demeanor and an active listener
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an effective ability to coach, develop and mentor people
- Strong knowledge and experience with OSHA and GHS regulations
- Ability to manage and communicate sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Understanding and managing cost of sanitation
