Job Overview

Responsible to plan, schedule and coordinate all facilities maintenance activities (Preventive, Predictive and Corrective work) for all Give & Go sites utilizing Give & Go’s Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

 

Key Responsibilities

Implementing

  • Configure maintain, and monitor CMMS data
  • Maintain and update facilities asset inventory data including asset characterizing information such as model, make, serial number, equipment type, etc.
  • Responsible for new asset (building, equipment, property) identification, creation and administration of asset tags
  • Perform purchasing duties, as required, with a full understanding of purchasing policies. Work closely with Maintenance and Facilities team members to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
  • Championing the improvement of planned work through the use of the CMMS program, organizing time and condition based work
  • Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Health, Safety & Environment and Engineering staff, plans, schedules and estimates labour, material, equipment, PM frequency and downtime to complete maintenance work
  • Schedule and identify total costs for maintenance work to be completed
  • Administrator of the facilities service request system
  • Organizes and conducts training to Give & Go staff on submission of facilities service requests and execution of work orders
  • Assist in troubleshooting tasks and operation downtimes to effectively resolving issues; elevating it to the next level of management if assistance is required

 

Planning & Organizing

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate all facilities maintenance activities for all Give & Go sites utilizing Give & Go’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Develop facilities maintenance work plans (Preventive, Predictive and Corrective work) with relevant information from specifications, drawings and operation & maintenance manuals to allow for efficient scheduling, assigning and execution of work orders
  • Develop work plans that are in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), local codes / regulations, Give & Go Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions and established safety standards
  • Organizing and maintaining technical information, regulatory compliance records, licensing and certification of all elements of HVAC system, life safety systems, electrical system, emergency power system, structural reviews, roofs, soils, assessments and etc.

 

Management

  • Administer, prepare, review and coordinate service contracts / agreements
  • Audits and evaluates the operational effectiveness of the facilities maintenance program in order make continuous improvements
  • Assist with budget preparation, tracking and reporting of expenditures
  • Compile, analyze, and present KPIs / metrics on facilities maintenance program and service request system
  • Responds to information requests from internal (e.g.Senior Management) and external (e.g. audits) parties

 

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties related within the Engineering department when required

 

The Recipe For Success

  • Building System Maintenance / Building System Operator Diploma or Mechanical or Electrical Technologist Program or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certification
  • 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance field
  • 1 year of maintenance planning experience
  • Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certification
  • Strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills effective in quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Knowledge and applied experience with maintenance planning and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Intermediate to advance user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project
  • Working knowledge in operating, maintaining, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, boilers, chillers, air compressors, water and waste water treatment systems, high and low voltage electrical distribution, sprinkler and fire alarm, automation and controls, and instrumentation
  • Ability to interpret facilities infrastructure, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to follow wiring schematics associated with a variety of types and makes of equipment
  • Knowledge of the following codes and regulations:
  • Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Fire Code (OFC), Occupational Health & Safety, Canadian Safety Association (CSA), Electrical Safety Authority (ESA)
  • New York State Building Code, New York State Fire Code, Occupational Health & Safety, NFPA 70 – National Electrical Code
  • Must be able to handle fast paced environment with competing priorities and demands
  • Ability to recognize and act on safety hazards
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid Class G driver’s license
