Job Overview: 

 

Responsible for providing general assistance to the Product Manager with the tactical execution of corporate and marketing plans, strategies, and projects. The role will assist in the improvement of an existing products marketing campaigns or developing new products fit for the company. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of creating new products – working in conjunction with a cross-functional team 
  • Completion of EMs, item setups, customer portals and ECC Net
  • Management and analysis of new products costing 
  • Ownership of purchase order submissions and budget analysis and record keeping 
  • Creation and analysis of sales and category reports. 
  • Assist in the management of product sample requests, updating the internal project status reports where applicable 
  • Assist in the rationalization and product categorization processes. 
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials for internal & external reference e.g. sell sheets, product photography, launch presentations, product manuals, and new packaging 
  • Creation and maintenance of product specifications 
  • Creation and review of marketing material and label copy and artwork. 
  • Prepare business reviews and marketing plans for at least one category/channel and assists for other categories 
  • Development of marketing materials for internal & external reference e.g. brochures, sell sheets, product photography, launch presentations, product manuals 
  • Assistant product manuals. 
  • Assistant product managers are responsible for establishing marketing policies of a company. 

Recipe for Success:

  • Requires experience creating marketing and selling materials (brochures, sell sheets, website and social media content, presentations) 
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve. 
  • Solid understanding of urgency in responding to internal (other departments) and external (suppliers, agencies, customers) partners 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clear communications (verbal and written) 
  • Excellent organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines. 
  • A self-starter with the ability to identify projects, solutions. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
