Team Member - Shredder

The Shredder Team Member is responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the shredder and associated components to ensure that the shredder is fully operational, avoid unexpected downtime to ensure scheduled maintenance is completed in an effective and efficient manner.

Pay:

• $24.50-$25.49

When: 

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00PM to 7:00AM

What we expect you to do?

• Performs preventative/predictive and scheduled maintenance on production shredder and associated components based on prescribed procedures to ensure equipment does not incur unexpected downtime:
  • Greasing equipment to ensure effective and efficient operation of production shredder in accordance with operational policies and procedure
  • Assisting with hammer changes
• Facilitates the removal of material jams and completes all general housekeeping duties in order to ensure production shreddder functions according to operational and safety standards:
  • Housekeeping around the Shredder.  Ensures all materials, debris is cleaned around the shredder.
  • Be able to identify and pick out copper, non-conforming material and long pieces of material to drop in bin below.
• Thoroughly records all equipment deficiencies and submits all associated documentation to ensure that required maintenance is performed and production shredder meets established operational and safety standards.

You have:

• 1 year of general labour construction experience
