Molding Machine Operator

Key responsibilities:
•    Monitor continuous operation of automatic plastic injection machines to ensure that products meet quality specifications.
•    Detect jams or malfunctions, troubleshoot, and make adjustments as necessary.
•    Perform scheduled mold changeovers.
•    Perform material handling duties that consist of filling and emptying machine hoppers and removing recyclable plastic to designated areas.
•    Control the molding process to reduce or eliminate waste during setup and operation.
•    Clean, inspect, and repair molds as needed or assigned.
•    Operate overhead crane to safely to position molds on floor, pallet, or maintenance table.
•    Record counts and scrap materials into Caframo’s production data collection program.

What you bring:
•    High School Diploma or equivalent.
•    1-2 years’ production or equivalent technical experience, considered an asset. 
•    A technical aptitude. 
•    Excellent attention to detail and quality.
•    Good communication skills.
•    Ability to multitask.
•    Analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting issues.
•    Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary during any shift schedule.
•    Training will be provided for Molding Machine operations, Reach Truck, Electric Pump Cart, Overhead Crane, and First Aid.

Skills Considered Assets: 
•    Some post-secondary education in a related field of study.
•    Previous experience working with a plastic injection mold machine.
