Southbridge Care Homes owns and operates several long-term care and retirement homes throughout many urban and rural areas across Ontario.

We are currently seeking a Clinical Consultant to deliver support and clinical expertise to our portfolio of LTC and Retirement homes. Reporting to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, the Clinical Consultant will have the opportunity to visit each Southbridge Care Home and provide consultative support on a routine basis.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and passion for senior care by delivering high-quality leadership support to our homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance and leadership consultation on clinical, quality improvement and risk mitigation to homes in the form of quality indicators and CMI improvement, risk identification and mitigation, auditing, clinical evaluations, and project management.
  • Assist Executive Directors with recruitment, selection of new Directors of Care and other clinical leadership positions at the home level.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in LTC in leadership roles (required).
  • Familiarity with the FLTCA, 2021 and the RHRA regulations.  
  • Ability to deal with crisis situations promptly and effectively.
  • Ability to mentor teams through education and coaching.
  • Advanced clinical expertise and LTC experience to guide, direct, educate and mentor teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • IPAC background (preferred).
  • Current vulnerable sector police check. (Within 6 months)
  • Ability and flexibility to travel across Ontario as assigned with a reliable vehicle.
