About the Role:
The Senior Marketing Manager touches on all functions of the Marketing spectrum. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role specializes in developing and executing marketing plans, initiatives, promotions, and communications related to marketing campaigns for Subway. The role also assists by defining competitive market requirements and opportunities and provides ongoing marketing support that ensures the competitiveness of existing products.
Specifically, this position has a special focus on
- Work closely with Sr Leadership across the NNDACH & EMEA team to develop strategic & operational plans for the German & Austrian BU.
- Marketing Calendar Development (in close collaboration w/ Team Mkt EMEA)
- Menuboard management (in close collaboration w/ Team Mkt EMEA)
- Total GoToMarket responsibility for all product related initiatives including business case & internal data management
- 1st point of contact for (Digital) operations, supply chain, FSQA
- Line management - Assistant Marketing Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborates with the Director, directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.
- Partner closely with internal teams and agencies to ensure our creative ideas and campaigns make most effective use of an integrated mix of owned, earned and paid channels, and are deployed via innovative, targeted media and technology.
- Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Analyze and report on the performance and ROI of marketing campaigns and activities, using various metrics and tools.
- Works with Insights and Culinary & Innovation on market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs
- Works with Culinary & Innovation on new product definition and business plans with joint departments including full responsibility for implementation.

Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, majoring in Marketing or Advertising.
- 5 - 8 years of experience working in a generalist Marketing role across multiple markets. Media/News, QSR, FMCG Needs to have worked as Brand/Product Manager, being responsible for marketing of national/international brand
- Needs to have worked and be comfortable to work in international environment Media planning / ATL development experience management would be a plus NPD / Culinary experience would be a plus
- Needs to have worked in fast paced environment, e.g. Media/News, QSR, FMCG
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and eloquently present.
- Well organised and detail oriented.
- Collaborative spirit with high emotional intelligence, open to helping with any task.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
- Ability to project manage, multi-task, and remain positive/flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering results and driving growth through Innovative and data-driven marketing initiatives.
- Be able to work with / co-lead complex agency network
- Languages: Fluent in German and English
