The Logistics Manager is responsible for overall supply chain management. They are also responsible for inventory, organizing, and monitoring the storage and distribution of materials and equipment. The goal of the Logistics Manager is to manage the entire order cycle, improve efficiencies cost-effectively, and ensure materials get shipped on time.
Responsibilities
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate complete order cycles.
- Liaise and negotiate with internal team members and vendors.
- Keep track of quality, inventory, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
- Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
- Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Responsible for warehouse and logistics operations in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.
Requirements and skills
- 3 to 5 years of proven working experience as a Logistics Manager and in warehouse management.
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage warehouse and logistics staff in multiple locations.
- Working knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Proficient in standard logistics software and schedule management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and regions
- Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Office Location – Spruce Grove (Office position)
