Position Summary

The CPGA Golf Professional will play a key role in delivering exceptional golf experiences for our members and guests. This position is ideal for a well-rounded professional who enjoys teaching, retail operations, and team leadership. In addition to conducting lessons and clinics, the successful candidate will work shifts in the Pro Shop, assist with daily operations, and oversee the bag drop team to ensure seamless guest service.

Key Responsibilities

Golf Instruction & Member Engagement:

  • Provide private and group lessons for golfers of all skill levels.
  • Conduct clinics, junior camps, and club fitting sessions.
  • Foster relationships with members and guests to enhance engagement.

Pro Shop & Retail Operations:

  • Assist with daily Pro Shop operations, including sales, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Answer phones and handle tee time reservations, inquiries, and customer service.
  • Support club events, Golf Simulators, tournaments, and league operations.

Bag Drop & Guest Services:

  • Lead and oversee the bag drop team, ensuring seamless golf bag handling, cart assignment and customer service.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere at the starter’s area and first tee.
  • Work collaboratively with the golf operations team to enhance the overall guest experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CPGA Member in good standing (or actively working towards certification).
  • Previous experience in a golf professional role, ideally in both instruction and operations.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with members, group coordinators and guests.
  • Experience with golf shop operations, POS systems, and merchandising is an asset.
  • Ability to lead a small team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Passion for growing the game of golf and developing golfers at all levels.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the golf season.
