Desktop Support Analyst

PROFILE SUMMARY
Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Deskside Support Analyst to join our team.
As the Deskside Support Analyst, you will provide frontline Information Technology (IT) support for office users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and connectivity. You will troubleshoot technical issues, assist users in-person and remotely, and document incidents via the internal ticketing system. The ideal candidate is highly punctual, maintains a professional appearance, and demonstrates strong technical and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor, document, triage, and respond to or escalate incoming requests related to IT issues.
- Support all hardware and equipment, ensuring optimal workplace performance and provide end-user assistance where required (in-person, by telephone, or via remote access).
- Deliver first-level technical support across various devices, applications, and operating systems, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. This includes handling the walk-up technical support desk (as per schedule), providing immediate in-person assistance for employees with urgent IT issues.
- Onboard new employees, including system setup, and IT orientation.
- Support the maintenance of an accurate inventory of IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
- Facilitate communication between the IT support team and broader IT functions, providing regular updates on projects, incidents, and system performance.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support or desktop support.
- Certificate in IT (CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or similar) preferred.
- Experience in a corporate IT environment supporting multiple users and endpoints.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PC and Mac hardware/software issues.
- Hands-on experience installing software, patches, and updates on various platforms.
- Basic smartphone support for iOS and Android devices.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting network, software, and printing issues.
- Experience with cloud-based services such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills both verbal and written
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10, 11), MacOS knowledge is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint).
- Basic Active Directory and user account management experience.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
- Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $55,000 - $62,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
