We maintain strategic R&D centers in Australia, Canada, and Chile, driving innovation across diverse mining contexts worldwide. This 6-month contract role is based at our R&D center in Richmond, British Columbia. Reporting to the Test Manager, the Test Analyst II will work within an agile development team focused on integrating the Wenco Fleet Management System with autonomous vehicles via open ISO standard interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership

  • Drive testing strategy and quality standards for autonomous system interfaces
  • Own and contribute to test lifecycle practices for large-scale, complex products
  • Promote and cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Build relationships with product owners and key stakeholders across operations

Technical Operations & Testing

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for strategic, enterprise-scale projects
  • Create and maintain automated and manual test suites
  • Monitor and optimize key quality metrics while ensuring transparency
  • Transform and streamline existing testing processes and methodologies

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product management and development teams to define and improve requirements
  • Ensure traceability between tests and product requirements
  • Investigate and troubleshoot site issues with clear reproduction steps
  • Facilitate engineering reviews with customers and industry partners

Technical Challenges You'll Solve:

Integration Testing

  • Validate protocols across multi-vendor heavy equipment fleets
  • Implement testing for diverse communication protocols and data formats
  • Verify real-world integration scenarios

System Validation and Support

  • Ensure reliability of mission-critical safety systems
  • Continuously deliver fast-evolving products that go live on mining sites
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex problems for our partners and customers

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in software testing
  • Strong understanding of complex systems testing methodologies
  • Experience with test management tools and results reporting
  • Proven track record of detailed test documentation and issue tracking
  • Experience working in agile/Scrum teams
  • High levels of curiosity, initiative and ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in mining or related industries
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management Systems (FMS) or Autonomous Equipment
  • Experience with behavior-driven development and testing
  • Experience delivering enterprise software products
  • Background in continuous integration/continuous deployment practices

Education & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/systems, electronics/software engineering or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • This role requires minimum 2 days per week in our Richmond office
