VMAC is seeking a Senior IT Administrator, where you’ll play a critical role in managing the organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations. We are looking for a proactive and experienced individual to oversee our systems, implement innovative solutions, and provide exceptional support to our users.
To succeed in this position, you must be comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment. Prioritizing tasks and providing high IT infrastructure availability and senior level ERP support is a requirement. System maintenance and upgrades must be accomplished with very minimal or no downtime. The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to meet deadlines and budgets. This requires a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and strives to make improvements.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General IT Administration:
- Manage and liaise with our contracted IT service provider to deliver day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, ensuring effective utilization of all IT solutions, and adherence to best practices.
- Evaluate IT infrastructure and identify areas for improvement, customization, and/or integration to meet the organization's evolving needs.
- Lead and evaluate the full lifecycle of IT projects, from requirements gathering and system design to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and analysis to assure optimal performance and sustainability of IT infrastructure, including performance monitoring, researching errors, and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, department leads to understand the organization's strategic priorities and working with our service provider assist with development and execution of IT strategy aligned with these priorities.
- Design and configure IT infrastructure modules, workflows, and interfaces based on business requirements.
- Create and update documentation related to the ERP, business processes and companion products and 3rd Party Integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and integrate with other business applications (e.g. CRM, eCommerce, WMS, and Payables).
Manage and maintain ERP system to include:
- Manage and liaise with our contracted IT service provider to deliver day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, ensuring effective utilization of all IT solutions, and adherence to best practices.
- Setup and maintain system Security for all end users and within compliance regulations.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers to ensure servers/workstations are engineered for optimum end user performance.
- Dashboard, queries, reports, forms development and deployment.
- End- user technical support.
- System incident documentation, coordination with Epicor and/or Epicor partners for obtaining, testing and deploying resolutions.
- Review and recommend implementation of Epicor system patches.
- Coordinate and ensure Epicor system upgrades are tested and deployed.
- Provide technical support to Team members for upgrades and system changes.
- Execute any Epicor utility applications (preventive maintenance) to ensure database integrity is maintained.
- Assistance / collaboration with functional teams in maintaining document management file structures and alignment with the ERP solution.
- Implement and support any 3rd party integrations and license requirements.
- Working with Enterprise Excellence and stakeholders across the organization, identify and implement process improvements involving the ERP, linked systems and hardware for process automation, data capture and improvements.
- Deploy hardware solutions to integrate with ERP system such as barcode readers, barcode printers, mobile devices, smart tools and digital dashboards.
- Keep informed of the latest ERP developments, upgrades and contribute to user groups.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in a senior level IT administration role.
- ERP system administration experience. Preference for Epicor Kinetic.
- SQL reporting Services (SSRS) experience.
- Experience programming in SQL.
- Business Application Query (BAQ) experience.
- Business Process Mapping (BPM) experience.
- 2+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in application administration and maintenance of Epicor (preferred).
- Good understanding of processes and their dependencies within an ERP application: financial, engineering, purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication skills.
