Emergency and Critical Care Specialist Opportunity

Toronto Animal Health Partners has an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency and Critical Care Specialist to join our critical care service.  We are a 24/7 emergency and referral hospital that runs busy neurosurgery, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, anesthesia, ER and critical care services, making for a robust and diverse caseload.  Our ICU is equipped with a Drager V500 ventilator, an Airvo high flow unit and a Sonosite POC ultrasound.  Other advanced equipment in the hospital includes a 3 Tesla MRI, CT, fluoroscopyand endoscopy.  

Our hospital enjoys an excellent reputation in the referral community for our compassion and commitment to excellence in client and patient care.  You will be working with a team of friendly, collaborative, competent colleagues who enjoy cooperative working relationships.  Our rotating and specialty internship program provides continued opportunities for teaching and stimulus to maintain your academic edge.  We have a roster of well-trained, keen, friendly emergency and critical care dedicated technicians who take pride in providing gold-standard care.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED 

• Board Certification or board-eligibility based on successful completion of a Residency training program by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) or the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC) 
• Provincial DVM licensing, or eligibility to be licensed 
• A collaborative approach to patient care 
• Passion for what you do every day 
• Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude 
• Excellent communication skills
